The pursuit of...A designer inspired shoe

My designer inspired shoes from Spanish store 'Lefties,' and the Spanish Vogue edition where the real ones are featured.

Isn't it great when you snare a great bargain overseas and then later find out that your find is the spitting image of a designer product?!
Well, whilst in Seville a friend introduced me to the shop 'Lefties,'....and I fell in love with the store straight away.  I wasn't surprised when he told me that 'Lefties,' was created as a Zara outlet store (my favourite high street shopping haven!).  They also develop their own fashion collection which is also heavily influenced by the Zara range and the prices are amazing, exactly what you would imagine for an outlet store.
I did not want to leave this store and then I found these shoes (above and below).  They are a gorgeous black pointy heel with clear transparent detail at the sides.  They reminded me of the Stella McCartney style that she brought out years ago that I absolutely adored back then.  I thankfully found my size and was amazed at the price 29.99 Euros!  This would've easily been about £60 or more back home.

When I got home, I immediately wanted to see if I could buy online at 'Lefties,' but unfortunately it is not to be and the stores are sadly only available in Spain at the moment...sad times..

Then a few weeks later my Spanish friend (the one who gave me the 'Lefties,' addiction!) said he was flicking through the latest Spanish Vogue and saw a very similar pair of my shoes but by Manolo Blahnik!!
It was true, a shoot by the legendary Mario Testino featuring Irina Shayk (Cristiano Ronaldo's better half) showed her wearing the fabulous Manolo's (below).

The Manolo Blahnik's that my shoes were inspired from

The Manolo's show much more toe cleavage than mine do and they also look like they have a higher heel as you would expect, but I am so happy with my little unexpected designer double!....and obviously at a fraction of the price!!
Spain have such amazing good quality high street shops that have luckily opened up around the world i.e. Zara, Mango, Bershka, Pull and Bear amongst others.  Hopefully soon, we'll be able to benefit from Lefties, too, although for the minute it seems to be Spain's best kept little secret...

What surprise designer double have you found? Have you ever shopped in 'Lefties,'?

Love, Ivy George x
